As an Immigration Officer aboard the ASTORIA GRANDE, you play a key role in facilitating international travel by ensuring all immigration and customs procedures are completed efficiently and accurately. Reporting to the Chief Purser, you will oversee the preparation and management of passenger and crew documentation, maintaining compliance with regulations across ports in Turkey, Egypt, and Greece.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and verify all required documents for port clearance in line with company policy and local regulations
- Securely manage passenger passports throughout the voyage, ensuring proper handling and timely return
- Coordinate with the Second Purser and Crew Purser to maintain accurate records for immigration and customs inspections
- Support the Chief Purser in updating and maintaining the passenger and crew database systems
- Monitor embarkation and disembarkation changes in coordination with the Back Office team
- Act as a liaison between port authorities and onboard management, ensuring clear and timely communication
- Collaborate with medical, HR, and guest services teams to address passenger and crew-related matters
- Participate in safety drills, training sessions, and operational meetings as required
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Recruited from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, or Kyrgyzstan
- Fluent in Russian; intermediate English proficiency required
- Valid STCW certification and seafarer’s identity document
- Proven ability to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic, multicultural setting
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Experience in leadership roles with demonstrated management capabilities
- Familiarity with hospitality service standards, guest needs assessment, and conflict resolution
- Knowledge of HR practices and team development principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and IISII software
