RealPage, Inc. is hiring an Associate UX/Product Designer

About the Role

RealPage, Inc. is looking for an Associate UX/Product Designer to lead design efforts for a Scrum team, crafting and delivering top-notch user experiences for property management professionals. In this role, you’ll contribute to annual UX team initiatives while growing your skills within a supportive team environment.

What You'll Do

  • Learn about your product area, competitors, their solutions, and our gaps.
  • Become familiar with property manager’s jobs-to-be-done.
  • Understand our company vision and align your work with it.
  • Understand the vision for your product area.
  • Build relationships with peers across UX, Product Management and Engineering areas and across the company.
  • Learn how the product delivery teams (UX, Product Management and Engineering) work together to build products.
  • Apply our UX Team Core Values and UX Pillars to your work.
  • Learn how to communicate, present, and share work in progress in 1:1s and Design Critiques by framing problems, pros & cons, and questions.
  • Proactively collaborate and solicit feedback with the intention of learning and improving.
  • Regularly report progress to your UX Manager.
  • Begin to develop a UX network both within and outside of Buildium.
  • With coaching from your UX Manager, collaborate with teams to articulate and align on problem statements based on research.
  • Gain awareness of design thinking.
  • Collaborate with teams to prioritize and scope work.
  • With coaching on collaborative methods, explore concepts, narrowing to the best solution through research and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Apply and execute appropriate research methods, as well as assist in recruiting participants and the related scheduling efforts.
  • Get design work shipped.
  • Gain familiarity with our design system and learn how to design with its components and patterns.
  • Deliver UI that follows our fundamentals.
  • Learn how to set and meet monthly, weekly and daily goals.
  • Understand KPIs for each of your projects and ensure that they measure the problem/solution.
  • Work with other designers to achieve top-notch results.
  • Know and prioritize what’s most important while managing your time efficiently.
  • Contribute to Buildium’s product delivery strategy by leading product design in a scrum team, delivering discovery outcomes and initial designs ahead of the planned implementation date for the team’s roadmap projects.
  • Use a portion of your time to contribute to expand and grow our UX Initiatives, focused on UX process and operational improvements, our Design System, or global product innovation.

What We're Looking For

  • Fluency in English with strong written and oral communication skills.
  • 1+ years of UX design and/or product design experience.
  • Fluency in Figma and other commonly-used design tools.
  • Fluency in user-centered design principles and testing methodologies.
  • Ability to clearly and effectively present and communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and customers.
  • Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodology; ability to plan and manage design work for 2-3 projects at a time.
  • Experience creating or working with Design Systems as a producer and/or consumer.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the small and medium sized business (SMB) market and/or B2B products.

You’ll be part of a team of designers, researchers, and content strategists. In this role, you will lead design for a scrum team and report to a UX Manager.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Compensation Range: USD $85,800.00 - USD $146,200.00 /Yr.
