UnitedHealth Group / Optum is looking for a UX Designer to translate product ideas into user-centered designs and maintain design systems. You’ll operate within business and technical constraints to deliver intuitive and effective user experiences.
What You'll Do
- Capture product ideas and turn them into wireframes, mockups, task flows, and other constructs that optimize user experience.
- Use data—including key performance indicators, market research, and testing methods—to support design proposals.
- Champion UX excellence within the context of business goals and technical constraints.
- Create information architectures, navigational hierarchies, and interaction patterns for websites and mobile applications.
- Refine, maintain, and enforce design guidelines and strategies.
- Work US Central Time.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in fine arts, Industrial Design, or a related field. A concentration in UCD, HCI, or similar is highly desired.
- 5+ years of experience creating wireframes, mockups, and high-fidelity prototypes using Sketch, InVision, Figma, or equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience designing and maintaining websites and mobile applications (iOS and Android).
- A successful track record connecting UX efforts to product or business metrics, adoption trends, and satisfaction scores.
- An inquisitive, team-oriented, detail-oriented, energetic, and passionate approach to delivering great customer experiences.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- A design portfolio with samples of previous work that showcases your qualifications.
Nice to Have
- Research experience conducting user interviews, heuristic evaluations, task analysis, and usability testing.
- Experience with CSS, JavaScript, React, or jQuery.
- Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar visual design tools.
