About the Role

Amgen Inc. is looking for an Associate Software Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on Salesforce development and customization, where you will build applications, configure platforms, support integrations, maintain CI/CD pipelines, and participate in Agile ceremonies.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and customize applications using Salesforce Lightning (LWC/Aura), Apex classes, triggers, and Visualforce as needed.
  • Configure Salesforce objects, fields, page layouts, validation rules, workflows, and permission models.
  • Support integration of Salesforce with external systems using RESTful and SOAP web services.
  • Assist in maintaining CI/CD pipelines and deployments using tools like Git and Copado.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot issues in Salesforce orgs across sandboxes and production.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including standups, planning sessions, and sprint reviews.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, testers, and other developers to deliver quality outcomes on time.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience.
  • Proficiency in Apex (classes, triggers, schedulers, exception handling).
  • Proficiency in Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Aura.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce configurations: objects, page layouts, validation rules, profiles, permission sets.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce security models, sharing rules, and role hierarchies.
  • Experience with Salesforce integrations using APIs (REST/SOAP).
  • Exposure to DevOps practices, Git-based version control, and CI/CD automation.
  • Basic understanding of validation requirements in regulated environments (e.g., GxP/CSV).

Nice to Have

  • Experience using Copado for source control and release management.
  • Previous experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Understanding of Salesforce’s object model, formula fields, flows, and automation tools.
  • Exposure to healthcare, pharma, or life sciences industries (optional).
  • Knowledge of basic validation artifacts such as requirement specifications, RTMs, or test evidence (a plus).
