About the Role

Oriental Bank is looking for an Associate, Retail Channels (Teller At-Large) to join our team. This role is responsible for providing superior and efficient customer service, handling a variety of transactional services, and promoting bank products. The position is on-site based in Carolina, PR.

What You'll Do

  • Provide high-quality, prompt, courteous, and efficient services to customers with precision and accuracy.
  • Ensure all transactions adhere to established operating policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory guidelines.
  • Handle transactional services including deposits, withdrawals, cashing checks, processing payments, transfers, and selling official checks.
  • Prepare and maintain your workstation, ensuring control over keys, stamps, and assigned cash.
  • Comply with cash management policies, maintain established cash limits, and balance your cash fund at the end of each shift.
  • Report any cash discrepancies or suspicious activity to your supervisor.
  • Maintain logs and registers per established procedures.
  • Receive and manage customer claims or inquiries within your scope, referring others appropriately.
  • Promote bank products, services, and channels, identifying cross-selling opportunities and referring customers to peers.

What We're Looking For

  • An associate degree, technical degree, or approved credits in Business Administration or a related field.
  • One (1) year of retail, customer service, or cash register experience.
  • Strong mathematical skills and a detail-oriented approach to managing multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and other business applications.
  • Availability to work based on branch hours of operation, plus flexibility to work overtime according to business needs.
  • Legal authorization to work in the US.

Nice to Have

  • Full bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (written and verbal).
