Responsibilities
- Assist the People Partnerships Manager for a specific group of employees; serve as the primary contact for employee inquiries and manager needs, escalating issues as needed.
- Champion employees' needs to ensure they have the necessary tools, resources, and support for success.
- Facilitate and manage core HR programs, including onboarding, offboarding, training, and internal communications.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with managers and employees through consistent, personalized communication.
- Gain a solid understanding of the business model and team objectives to align HR support with business priorities.
- Handle HR matters with a focus on compliance, sound judgment, discretion, empathy, and confidentiality.
- Assist with employee relations issues, such as documentation, intake, and follow-ups, and collaborate with HR leadership on complex cases.
- Perform general HR tasks to ensure data accuracy across systems, reporting, and program administration in an organized manner.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
- Demonstrated integrity, accountability, service orientation, and strong work ethic.
- Working knowledge of core HR areas and interest in employment laws and HR best practices.
- Ability and willingness to learn how to coach and support employees and managers with guidance.
- Strong relationship-building skills; approachable, trusted, and employee-focused.
- Self-starter comfortable in a fast-paced, fluid environment with willingness to adapt to change.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation habits.
- Proficient with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
Nice to Have
- 0-2+ years of professional HR or relevant HR internship/co-op experience.
- SHRM or PHR certification or interest in pursuing.
