About the Role

This position provides essential support to US-based pathologists by managing pathology data workflows, preparing study reports, and ensuring compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards. You will work closely with study protocols and amendments to generate accurate documentation, integrating key pathological findings such as organ weights as directed by the pathologist.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and quality check pathology reports using standardized templates and study-specific data
  • Review data for consistency with protocols, amendments, deviations, and internal SOPs
  • Manage the logistics of shipping tissue slides between the US and China, including coordination with vendors and regulatory agencies
  • Apply for and secure re-export CITES permits for monkey-derived tissue slides returning to China
  • Maintain accurate slide inventories before shipment and upon receipt
  • Collaborate with the Import and Export team in Suzhou and communicate regularly with internal and external stakeholders
  • Support peer review processes by organizing slide shipments, preparing data notebooks, and arranging facility logistics
  • Track pathologist schedules to ensure timely delivery of study outputs
  • Assist remote consulting pathologists when needed and adapt to evolving project demands

Qualifications

Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in a health science field such as veterinary science, pharmacology, or toxicology, along with 3–5 years of relevant industry experience. A minimum of two years in a GLP-compliant laboratory environment is required. Strong attention to detail, organizational ability, and excellent English communication skills—both written and verbal—are essential.

Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel is expected, along with the ability to quickly learn new software tools. Experience communicating with international teams and regulatory bodies is beneficial. Fluency in Chinese is a preferred qualification, supporting seamless collaboration with colleagues in Suzhou.

Work Environment

This is a hybrid role requiring coordination across US and China (Suzhou) locations. The position involves regular interaction with global teams, shipping partners, and regulatory entities, demanding flexibility and strong cross-cultural communication skills.
