Amgen Inc. was looking for an Associate Manufacturing - Days

Amgen is looking for an Associate Manufacturing - Days to perform operations within the Manufacturing area, specifically cell culture, at our Rhode Island facility. You'll work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule (7AM-7PM, B Shift) and apply your knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to help deliver on our mission to serve patients.

What You'll Do

  • Perform operations within the Manufacturing area, specifically cell culture.
  • Know, comprehend, and apply Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Understand, follow, and document in batch records.
  • Follow and monitor critical processes.
  • Complete routine validation protocols.
  • Draft and revise documents such as Manufacturing Procedures, SOPs, and technical reports.
  • Conduct basic troubleshooting.
  • Assist in the review of documentation for assigned functions.
  • May initiate and own area Deviations, revise SOPs, and perform LEAN functions.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement improvements related to routine functions.

What We're Looking For

  • High school/GED + 2 years of manufacturing or operations work experience
  • Associate’s degree + 6 months of manufacturing or operations work experience
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering
  • Knowledge of large-scale biotechnology operations such as purification, cell culture, aseptic processing
  • Knowledge of Single-use-Systems
  • CFR and Regulatory knowledge
  • Mechanical ability/expertise
  • Basic statistical mathematical skills
  • Ability to interpret and apply GMP knowledge
  • Understanding of analytical methods for manufacturing area
  • Demonstrated technical writing capability
  • Able to demonstrate project management skills and presentation skills
  • Ability to understand, apply and evaluate basic chemistry, biology and physical principles
  • Basic troubleshooting skills on production equipment
  • Experience with Delta V
  • Experience with lab equipment/testing
