Brunswick Group is seeking an Insight Consultant (Associate) to join its Insight team and drive its media analytics research offer in the US. You will be responsible for scoping, delivering, and presenting research to clients, championing the use of analytics, and developing the client offer.
What You'll Do
- Manage analytics research projects for clients in the US, identifying key business questions and objectives, scoping project plans, and leveraging the right tools and techniques.
- Take accountability for project logistics end to end to ensure on-time and on-budget work streams and deliverables.
- Promote the analytics offer within the US offices to build awareness and support for new and existing clients.
- Deliver training to upskill colleagues, in collaboration with the Global Head of Analytics.
- Offer junior colleagues frequent feedback and coaching to support their development.
- Push analytics forward by identifying innovative methodologies, tools, and opportunities to integrate analytics into client mandates.
- Build close relationships with clients and colleagues, acting as a trusted partner and advisor.
What We're Looking For
- 6+ years of experience in traditional and social media analytics.
- Extensive experience using off-the-shelf media analytics tools such as Brandwatch, Quid, Meltwalter, and Talkwalker.
- Ability to identify and communicate actionable insights to clients.
- Strong analytical skills to translate client needs into plans, conduct data analysis, and identify key findings.
- Strong writing skills to summarize complex data into succinct findings and implications.
- Client management experience, including developing and pitching for new business.
- An understanding of corporate and financial communications, and interest in the financial, political, and social issues companies face.
- Advanced project management skills, able to monitor teams, address issues, and deliver effectively under tight deadlines.
- Intermediate/advanced proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint (Pivot tables, XLOOKUP, etc.).
- Experience with research methods such as media evaluation, social media analysis, influencer mapping, and audience analytics.
- Keen interest in current affairs, particularly the issues companies are currently dealing with.
- Experience analyzing content such as news coverage, social media posts, financial documents, and LLM responses.
- Familiarity with the traditional media landscape and a good understanding of how social media shapes public perception.
- Ability to identify business questions, capture and analyze data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations.
- Strong communicator who can present complicated findings clearly and help audiences understand what matters.
- Comfortable working as part of a global team and managing internal and external relationships.
- Perceptive and empathetic, with the ability to manage up, down, and across.
- Self-directed with good judgment in difficult situations.
- Motivated, collaborative, intellectually curious, with a passion for innovation and problem-solving.
- Able to practice discretion with confidential client matters.
- Proactive, able to adapt quickly to change, with a sense of humor.
Nice to Have
- Some research agency or consultancy experience.
- Experience with text-analytics tools such as Python, Stata, or R, as well as tools used to analyze LLM responses.

This role is based in our New York or Washington D.C. office, reporting to the Global Head of Analytics in London.
