University of Florida was looking for an Associate/Full Professor

The University of Florida's Department of Environmental and Global Health is recruiting a tenure-track or non-tenure track faculty member at the Associate or Full Professor level in Global Infectious Disease. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain a robust portfolio of extramurally funded research, teaching, and service. This is a 1.0 FTE, 12-month role expected to start Fall 2026.

What You'll Do

  • Maintain a portfolio of extramurally funded research, teaching, and service.
  • Build synergy and collaboration related to Infectious Disease with the UF College of Medicine.

What We're Looking For

  • Medical degree (MD) or doctoral degree (PhD) in public health, epidemiology, infectious disease, or another field related to infectious disease.

Nice to Have

  • Substantial expertise in infectious disease and global medicine.
  • A strong publication record.
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching and mentoring.
  • A strong established record of funding.

You will join the Department of Environmental and Global Health within the College of Public Health and Health Professions. The college is one of 62 colleges and schools in the U.S. with CEPH accreditation and is ranked 9th in NIH funding among schools of public health at public universities.
