About the Role

Amgen Inc. is seeking an Associate Director of Value Marketing for its U.S. Bone Franchise. You will lead cross-functional strategy and marketing initiatives focused on health systems and Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs). Your mission is to develop deep customer insights and implement scalable post-fracture care pathways to advance osteoporosis population health management.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the cross-functional lead in developing deep customer insights for the health system customer segment.
  • Tailor marketing tactics and solutions to improve osteoporosis population health management across the care continuum.
  • Lead strategy and cross-functional efforts to support implementation of scalable post-fracture care pathways.
  • Drive development of the cross-functional health system strategy and lead a team of experienced marketers.
  • Develop innovative customer engagement opportunities and multi-channel marketing tactics to effect customer organizational behavior change.
  • Serve as a key contact to work with health system executives and post-fracture care champions.
  • Shape the bone health systems strategy in close collaboration with brand lead(s), field lead(s), and cross-functional partners.
  • Oversee prioritization and development of key messages, tools, and resources to engage health system partners.
  • Lead development of innovative health system partner engagement strategies, including roundtables and forums.
  • Develop strong relationships with and routinely engage health system leaders and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to synthesize insights.
  • Pilot targeted insightful post-fracture care solutions with willing health systems.
  • Partner with Key Account Management (KAM) and Medical Science Liaison (MSL) leadership to ensure optimized implementation of health system strategies.
  • Liaison with training to ensure superior operational execution, competencies, and capabilities.
  • Identify market research needs and collaborate with the PMR team to implement.
  • Partner cross-functionally with business partners such as IDN/KAM marketing, medical, Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR), CfOR, Health IT Liaisons, HCP marketing, Sales and KAM leadership, and the Bone Brand Lead.

What We're Looking For

  • Doctorate degree and 3 years of marketing, clinical, and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Healthcare Delivery organization or Marketing/Sales commercial organization.
  • OR Master’s degree and 7 years of marketing, clinical, and/or business experience.
  • OR Bachelor’s degree and 9 years of marketing, clinical, and/or business experience.
  • OR Associate’s degree and 12 years of marketing, clinical, and/or business experience.
  • OR High school diploma / GED and 14 years of marketing, clinical, and/or business experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs, or directing the allocation of resources.

Nice to Have

  • Advanced degree such as MBA, MPH, MHA, PhD, or PharmD.
  • 8+ years of experience in a series of commercial roles of increasing scope, scale, and complexity within the bio-pharmaceutical industry.
  • 5+ years established experience engaging U.S. Health System/IDN system-level partners and KOLs, with demonstrated understanding of market dynamics, core customer business drivers, and health system unmet needs.
  • Key Account Management, Medical Science Liaison, or hospital/institutional sales experience.
  • Demonstrated experience/knowledge of the evolving U.S. healthcare landscape with a focus on health system vertical/horizontal integration, care pathway implementation, and ability to influence care across the healthcare ecosystem.
  • Ability and desire to serve as an Amgen thought leader internally and externally.
  • Experience developing and implementing innovative commercial strategies within highly competitive markets.
  • Strong data/analytics skills and the ability to translate real-world data into actionable insights.
  • Consistent track record in leading cross-functional teams in a matrix environment.

Team & Environment

You will report to the Health Systems and Key Accounts Marketing Director.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Salary range: $183,671.00 to $229,424.00 USD (excluding Puerto Rico). Also listed as $161,297.00 USD - $205,350.00 USD.
