BioMarin is hiring an Associate Director, SAP Technical Architect to own the design and architectural leadership for our enterprise SAP environment. You will guide the overall technical strategy with a focus on Basis administration, security, and Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC).
What You'll Do
- Architect and guide the SAP Basis team to deliver high-performing, resilient, and scalable SAP systems, including S/4HANA, Ariba, and Signavio.
- Define technical standards for system provisioning, upgrades, configurations, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Establish best practices for transport management, backup and recovery strategies, and disaster recovery architecture.
- Design and oversee implementation of SAP security roles, authorizations, and compliance frameworks.
- Lead and manage the SAP Basis team, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and reliability of systems.
- Oversee SAP GRC processes and solutions to manage risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Develop and execute technical strategies to optimize the SAP landscape and integrate emerging technologies.
- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to align SAP initiatives with organizational goals.
- Lead technical projects, mentor team members, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in SAP Basis administration, security, and GRC.
- Proven leadership experience managing technical SAP teams.
- Strong understanding of SAP architecture, Cloud ALM, infrastructure, and integration.
- Expertise in SAP GRC solutions and regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree.
- Relevant SAP certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Technology Associate).
