WPP Media is hiring an Associate Director, Research & Insights for a 12-month Fixed-Term Contract. As part of Essencemediacom’s Analytics & Insight division, you will join a specialist team delivering actionable insights and planning outputs for global clients. This client-focused role centers on selling and delivering consumer research projects, improving core products, and promoting insight tools.
What You'll Do
- Identify opportunities for selling consumer research and insight projects to global clients, collaborating with account and specialist teams.
- Manage the delivery of consumer research and insight projects for global clients.
- Work with Directors to identify and implement improvements to the core consumer insight product offering.
- Contribute to marketing and promoting the core product offering within the global insight network and to clients.
- Apply and promote global insight desk research tools on client projects and within internal networks.
- Lead day-to-day management of global research and insight projects.
- Contribute to writing proposals for bespoke client projects.
- Develop new insight and research products.
- Communicate insight and research products to the network and global account teams.
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrable strong quantitative and qualitative research skills and experience within a media and communications environment.
- Hands-on experience in research design, survey writing, fieldwork management, and analysis.
- Relevant research/insight experience obtained in a research/insight, media agency, social, or digital insights community.
- Strong analytical, research, and numerical skills.
- Deep curiosity about consumer behaviour and a drive to bring consumer behaviour stories to life.
- Experience using syndicated survey tools or questionnaire design.
- Knowledge and application of analytics tools such as survey cross-tabbing tools, SPSS, or R.
Nice to Have
- Experience with an international focus.
- Knowledge or experience of applying social and digital insight tools.
- Evidence of successful participation in new business pitches and client account development strategies.
- Evidence of being able to work with senior stakeholders (media owners, client leads).
- Experience or knowledge of qualitative research methods.
