RBC Borealis is looking for an Associate Director, Program Manager to strategically lead the execution and scaling of our enterprise Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning initiatives. In this role, you will bridge the gap between technical AI/ML teams, business stakeholders, and IT infrastructure to ensure programs deliver maximum business value.
What You'll Do
- Manage the entire lifecycle of the AI program portfolio, including prioritization, resource allocation, and cross-team dependencies.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate technical, ethical, and operational risks unique to AI deployments.
- Implement a robust governance framework tailored for AI/ML development, focusing on experimentation, reproducibility, and model transition to production.
- Create and maintain a consolidated program roadmap, tracking milestones for model development, data pipeline readiness, and business adoption.
- Act as the primary point of contact for executive sponsors, translating complex AI technical concepts into clear, business-relevant language.
- Work with MLOps engineers to define standards for CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, model monitoring, and continuous retraining.
- Partner with IT Infrastructure teams to provision and optimize computational resources for AI workloads.
- Ensure all AI models and programs adhere to internal ethical guidelines, data privacy regulations, and corporate security standards.
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of 10 years in IT Program Management with at least 3-5 years specifically managing Data Science, AI, or Machine Learning programs.
- Experience within financial services.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Master's degree preferred.
- PMP, PgMP, or equivalent program management certification required.
- Strong understanding of core AI/ML lifecycle concepts, including data preparation, common ML algorithms, and cloud platforms/services for AI.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies adapted for data science workflows.

- Exceptional communication skills with highly technical data scientists, business executives, and cross-functional teams.
