Penn State is hiring an Associate Director of Foundation Relations

About the Role

Penn State is looking for an Associate Director of Foundation Relations to secure significant philanthropic support from foundations for University initiatives. As a member of the Division of Development and Alumni Relations (DDAR), you will act as a strategic partner to specific colleges and lead efforts to align foundation priorities with University goals.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as primary liaison to the colleges of Earth and Mineral Sciences, Engineering, and Information Sciences & Technology.
  • Engage in strategic planning discussions to identify, cultivate, and solicit major and principal gift foundation prospects.
  • Assist faculty and staff in preparing and submitting proposals, aiming to secure $1,000,000 or more in annual commitments.
  • Proactively cultivate and solicit new and existing funders to maintain a strong prospect pool aligned with University priorities.
  • Build relationships between foundation officers and Penn State representatives.
  • Prepare briefing materials and coordinate meetings as part of cultivation and stewardship activities.
  • Determine annual foundation goal setting and solicitation targets with college partners.
  • Develop strategies to guide collaborative interdisciplinary projects and proposal preparation.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 6+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Team & Environment

You will be a member of the Division of Development and Alumni Relations (DDAR) and report to the Executive Director of Foundation Relations.   • Compensation: $68,200.00 - $102,300.00
