About the Role

This role is responsible for driving philanthropic initiatives and cultivating relationships with donors, corporate sponsors, and community stakeholders to expand financial support for programs serving military-connected families in the Tampa region.

Responsibilities

  • Lead local fundraising campaigns and donor outreach strategies
  • Build and maintain relationships with individual and corporate donors
  • Identify and pursue new funding opportunities and grant sources
  • Organize and manage events to engage supporters and raise funds
  • Collaborate with regional and national teams to align development goals
  • Track donor data and contributions using CRM systems
  • Prepare proposals, reports, and presentations for funding partners
  • Represent the organization at community and networking events
  • Develop materials to communicate impact and funding needs
  • Support stewardship activities to retain donor relationships
  • Coordinate with marketing to promote fundraising initiatives
  • Monitor progress toward annual development targets
  • Engage volunteers in development activities
  • Advocate for the needs of military and veteran families
  • Maintain accurate records of donor interactions and pledges
  • Contribute to strategic planning for long-term sustainability
  • Foster partnerships with local businesses and nonprofits
  • Ensure compliance with organizational and donor requirements
  • Provide updates to leadership on fundraising performance
  • Assist in training staff and volunteers on fundraising best practices

Compensation
