About the Role
This role is responsible for driving philanthropic initiatives and cultivating relationships with donors, corporate sponsors, and community stakeholders to expand financial support for programs serving military-connected families in the Tampa region.
Responsibilities
- Lead local fundraising campaigns and donor outreach strategies
- Build and maintain relationships with individual and corporate donors
- Identify and pursue new funding opportunities and grant sources
- Organize and manage events to engage supporters and raise funds
- Collaborate with regional and national teams to align development goals
- Track donor data and contributions using CRM systems
- Prepare proposals, reports, and presentations for funding partners
- Represent the organization at community and networking events
- Develop materials to communicate impact and funding needs
- Support stewardship activities to retain donor relationships
- Coordinate with marketing to promote fundraising initiatives
- Monitor progress toward annual development targets
- Engage volunteers in development activities
- Advocate for the needs of military and veteran families
- Maintain accurate records of donor interactions and pledges
- Contribute to strategic planning for long-term sustainability
- Foster partnerships with local businesses and nonprofits
- Ensure compliance with organizational and donor requirements
- Provide updates to leadership on fundraising performance
- Assist in training staff and volunteers on fundraising best practices
Compensation
