The Associate Director, Single Cell/Spatial Specialist team will strategically manage and direct Strategic Growth Specialists across the United States. This team focuses on driving sales and market penetration within high-potential segments and strategically crucial product lines. These specialists serve as comprehensive domain experts collaborating closely with diverse sales functions to ensure comprehensive market coverage and revenue generation for Illumina's Single Cell and Spatial Transcriptomics businesses. Tasks and Responsibilities: - Craft, execute, and monitor regional sales strategies achieving assigned revenue objectives - Manage comprehensive team recruitment, development, retention, and performance - Spearhead strategic growth initiatives aligned with regional commercial vision - Champion Illumina's core values across organizational interactions - Monitor market/product dynamics, facilitating knowledge dissemination across commercial teams - Provide performance feedback and developmental guidance - Optimize sales analytics tool utilization - Maintain robust cross-departmental collaboration - Communicate regional business landscapes to executive leadership - Translate field perspectives into strategic insights - Promote Illumina's Multiomics vision - Cultivate collaborative relationships with sales leadership Preferred Educational Background: - Minimum 15 years related experience with bachelor's degree; or 12 years with master's; or PhD with 10 years experience Preferred Experiential Background: - 15+ years sales experience in Life Science/Genomics - 5+ years sales management experience - Expertise in Single Cell/Spatial techniques - Next Generation Sequencing knowledge - Market landscape understanding - Strong relationship-building capabilities - Exceptional communication skills - Strategic thinking proficiency Travel: Up to 50% travel, including occasional San Diego headquarters visits Location: Must reside near major US airport Compensation Range: $167,200 - $250,800, with comprehensive benefits package including potential bonuses, equity, and innovative wellness programs.
