Pratt & Whitney, a part of RTX Corporation, is hiring an Associate Director Contracts Country Lead, Germany. This is a highly visible leadership role providing expertise on complex contractual matters and managing a team of Contracts professionals across several Strategic Business Units (SBUs). You will be integral to customer relationship building, driving change, and integrating a common contractual strategy.
What You'll Do
- Manage a team of Contracts professionals, providing strategic direction.
- Ensure alignment of business goals with the contracts organization.
- Implement and execute contracts policies, procedures, and processes.
- Oversee contract formation, negotiations, and administration within the business.
- Drive closure with customers when contractual challenges require Senior Leadership engagement.
- Enhance the Contracts Program in collaboration with the Central Contracts Team.
- Lead talent development activities for contracts associates.
- Provide business support and ensure risk mitigation.
- Drive enterprise alignment on customer activity, talent development, process, and best practices.
- Coordinate between SBUs when contracts or proposal activities affect multiple units with the same customer.
- Participate in front-end assessments of proposals.
- Summarize contractual issues, research compliance matters, interpret regulations, identify risks, and formulate recommendations.
- Collaborate in strategy formation for business arrangement development and execution.
- Develop formal correspondence to address contractual matters and dispute resolution.
- Support audit or customer requests.
What We're Looking For
- A University Degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience.
- Alternatively, an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years of experience.
Nice to Have
- Experience contracting in a manufacturing industry.
- OEM commercial aerospace experience.
- Project management experience.
- A law degree is advantageous but not essential.
Team & Environment
You will be a member of the Senior Contracts Leadership Team and manage a team of Contracts professionals across several SBUs.
Work Mode
This is a remote position based in Germany. The role requires the ability to travel up to 25% within Germany.
