Responsibilities
- Lead cost management across a European lease portfolio, ensuring effective budget control, forecasting, and cost optimisation across multiple sites
- Manage and oversee operational and capital expenditure (OPEX/CAPEX) within leased environments, ensuring alignment with client financial objectives
- Actively participate in tender/bid processes for lease related works, including analysis, benchmarking, and commercial evaluation
- Drive the change management process, identifying, analysing, and implementing cost impacts across lease agreements and associated works
- Provide cost planning, benchmarking, and reporting at portfolio level to support strategic decision-making
- Analyse supplier and contractor proposals to ensure value for money and commercial compliance
- Support the preparation and agreement of final accounts, including lease exit costs, dilapidations, and associated claims
- Oversee portfolio spend through regular cost reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis, clearly communicating risks and opportunities
- Support dispute resolution, including loss and expense, claims, and commercial negotiations within lease agreements
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across multiple regions to ensure consistent commercial governance and reporting standards
- Mentor and support junior team members where required, contributing to a high-performing commercial function
Requirements
- 7–8+ years’ experience in cost management / quantity surveying, ideally within consultancy environments
- Experience managing costs across multiple projects or portfolios, preferably within a lease or real estate environment
- Strong experience in commercial management, cost planning, and financial control, including change management processes
- Degree or equivalent experience in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or Construction related discipline
- Highly proficient in cost reporting, financial analysis, and stakeholder communication
- Comfortable working in a remote/hybrid environment, managing priorities across multiple regions and stakeholders
- Demonstrate strong commercial acumen, attention to detail, and the ability to influence decision-making at a senior level

- Ideally have exposure to data centre, mission-critical, or large scale infrastructure projects
- Are chartered
