At Tyler Technologies, we are building the next generation of ERP solutions to power Connected Communities. We are seeking an Associate CloudOps Engineer to join our team in Bonifacio Global City, Philippines. In this role, you will help design, build, and maintain the highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure that supports our financial management, human resources, tax billing, and asset management solutions.
What You'll Do
- Participate in service desk duties to support clients and stakeholders.
- Provide periodic on-call support to maintain system stability.
- Learn and advocate for DevOps best practices and design patterns.
- Collaborate with product teams to design, develop, and optimize CI/CD pipelines.
- Help build the next generation ERP hosting platform using Infrastructure as Code, Configuration Management, and Event-Driven Infrastructure.
- Create tools to streamline service deployment and improve monitoring in a large-scale distributed environment.
- Work with teams to architect and implement software solutions supporting DevOps and Agile transformation.
- Work closely with internal and external teams to develop efficient solutions.
- Continuously expand expertise and share knowledge with colleagues.
- Provide respectful and actionable feedback to leadership to improve DevOps strategies.
- Maintain a strong understanding of DevOps principles and advocate for best practices.
What We're Looking For
- Prior service desk experience is preferred.
- Previous experience with Jira and Confluence is required.
- Passion for learning in a cloud-focused DevOps, CloudOps, or software engineering role, preferably in AWS.
- Passion for working in a CI/CD environment, implementing and maintaining automation pipelines.
- Passion for learning and managing Linux-based systems.
- Passion for learning tools such as Ansible, Run Deck, Chef, and Puppet.
- Passion for learning how to design or maintain highly available and secure cloud systems.
- Passion for learning how to migrate and manage workloads in AWS.
- Passion for learning how to develop in an Object-Oriented language, with C# .NET preferred.
- Passion for learning scripting with Bash or Python.
- Passion for learning IaC such as Terraform (preferred).
- Passion for learning CI/CD platforms such as Harness, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
- Passion for learning real-time monitoring tools such as Datadog.
- Passion for learning microservice-based system design.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences, in writing and verbally.
- Must demonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to stay organized while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Able to analyze and resolve complex technical challenges with guidance.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with teams.
- Capable of working independently while also contributing to a team.
- Passion for defining and implementing industry best practices.
- Willingness to explore new technologies and teach others what you learn.
