About the Role

Medtronic is hiring an Associate Clinical Specialist for our Cardiac Ablation Solutions (CAS) team in Houston, TX. You will provide technical, educational, clinical, and sales support to help the region meet its objectives. This role serves as the primary technical liaison to physicians and hospital staff during ablation procedures, representing Medtronic CAS to provide troubleshooting and assistance.

What You'll Do

  • Provide technical, educational, clinical and sales support to assist the region in meeting Cardiac Ablation Solutions sales and customer service objectives.
  • Represent Medtronic CAS during ablation procedures to provide troubleshooting and other technical assistance.
  • Receive technical inquiries from customers and research solutions to questions or problems.
  • Educate and train physicians, hospital personnel and office staff on technical matters relating to AFS products and related procedures.
  • Assist the Regional Manager and field training department in educating and training new Clinical Specialists and Account Managers.
  • Provide training and resources for hospital staff to enable them to conduct training for their personnel.
  • Update sales representatives concerning procedures and immediately notify Account Manager regarding issues requiring follow-up.
  • Serve as an effective Medtronic CAS representative to physicians and support staff regarding Medtronic CAS products, service and support.
  • Promote the safe and effective use of Medtronic CAS products and related procedures.
  • Understand national, regional and territory sales objectives and work in partnership with Account Manager to achieve or exceed goals.

What We're Looking For

  • A High School diploma and 6+ years of work experience in healthcare, OR an Associate degree and 2 years of work experience in healthcare, OR a Bachelor degree.
  • Valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy.
  • Ability to travel up to 80%.
  • Ability to drive approximately 50% of the time within assigned territory, with possibility of overnight travel.
  • Must be able to stand, sit, and walk for 8 hours a day.
  • Ability to freely move throughout a facility, use a phone, keyboard and mouse, and visually interact with personal computers.
  • Must be within the assigned territory each day to be available as unscheduled needs arise.

Nice to Have

  • B.A./B.S. Degree in nursing, cardiovascular, life sciences, or a technical discipline with a minimum of four years’ work experience in the cardiac field, hospital/clinic, or sales.
  • Pacing school or ATI-like training program in addition to basic qualifications.
  • Proven track record with technical training assignments.
  • Experience in the cardiac catheter ablation field, EP lab, or in a hospital/clinic or EP medical sales providing technical or clinical support.
  • Preference will be given to local qualified candidates and candidates with Medtronic experience.

Team & Environment

You will work in partnership with an Account Manager and support the broader region.
