UT Health San Antonio’s School of Nursing invites doctoral prepared nurses to apply for faculty positions within the BSN to DNP-Nurse Anesthesia program. You will join a dedicated team shaping the next generation of CRNAs through robust academic and clinical instruction.
What You'll Do
- Assist in designing, implementing, and revising the curriculum for the DNP-NA program, ensuring it meets accreditation standards and reflects current best practices.
- Provide classroom and clinical instruction.
- Provide academic and professional guidance to students, offering support and resources to help them succeed.
- Participate in ongoing evaluation and assessment of student learning outcomes, program effectiveness, and compliance with accreditation standards, implementing improvements based on data.
- Collaborate with the admissions team to recruit qualified candidates and represent the program at recruitment events, conferences, and professional meetings.
- Foster partnerships with healthcare organizations for clinical practice and quality improvement projects, and engage in scholarly activities relevant to nurse anesthesia.
- Participate in faculty meetings and contribute to program administration.
- Stay abreast of developments in nurse anesthesia techniques and education methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accreditation standards, regulations, and institutional policies.
What We're Looking For
- A PhD, DNAP, DNP, or appropriate doctoral degree.
- A master’s or doctorate degree in nursing anesthesia (CRNA).
- A Texas RN license.
- Current certification by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetist (NBCRNA).
- A Texas Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license.
- Active membership in the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists.
- Actively practicing as a CRNA for at least 3 years.
Nice to Have
- Academic experience, including didactic and clinical teaching experience.

This role operates under the guidance of the DNP-NA Program Director and the Associate Dean of Graduate Studies.
