Gray Construction is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join our team focused on the Manufacturing Market. You will play a key support role in managing construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on schedule and within budget.
What You'll Do
- Develop, update, and monitor job progress using our QMS program, including scheduling, estimating, and budgeting.
- Perform quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and bid solicitation.
- Purchase and coordinate material delivery, ensuring optimum price, quality, and conformance to specifications.
- Review and approve invoices and change orders.
- Negotiate with subcontractors and vendors for specific trades to ensure all scope is encompassed.
- Review vendor and subcontractor shop drawing submittals as directed.
- Attend weekly job site meetings and assist in preparing reports such as monthly red files, progress analysis, schedules, and billings.
- Assist in organizing and maintaining job files to ensure workflow continuity.
- Submit verbal and written project status reports to your supervisor.
- Communicate effectively with customers, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Communicate, implement, and enforce Gray’s safety program on site.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
- Minimum of three years of related experience.
- Basic computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheet, and email applications. Working knowledge of scheduling applications may also be required.
- An energetic, self-motivated individual who enjoys a team environment, with a passion for collaboration and professional development.
- Ability to relocate to specific job sites if required.
- Ability to meet physical demands: frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs, and occasionally lift or move up to 100 lbs. Specific vision abilities include accurate near and distant vision.
