Atlas Real Estate is hiring an Assistant Portfolio Manager in Salt Lake City. You will play a key support role for Portfolio Managers, managing the day-to-day field and leasing operations for a portfolio of properties. This position is central to building strong relationships with residents, vendors, and owners while driving business growth.
What You'll Do
- Promote and reinforce the Atlas Culture and Values.
- Provide field and leasing support for Portfolio Managers.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, vendors, owners, and coworkers.
- Build and manage schedules for showings, inspections, maintenance, and lease dates.
- Conduct fieldwork including setting up lockboxes and performing exterior inspections.
- Use high-touch communication methods including phone calls, texts, and email.
- Drive to properties within the portfolio for approximately 20 hours per week.
- Conduct quality control final walk-throughs, take photos, and report deficiencies.
- Schedule and take professional photos of rent-ready units.
- Create marketing advertisements using Tenant Turner, Facebook, and other programs to generate leads.
- Respond to leads, conduct showings and open houses, and provide feedback to property managers.
- Conduct showings and lease properties.
- Perform move-in walk-throughs.
- Facilitate the leasing process from approved application through move-in.
- Draft leases for Portfolio Manager review.
- Use AppFolio to update property information and pull reports.
- Report all property deficiencies and repair needs to management.
- Manage a calendar for your portfolio, tracking lease renewals, maintenance, and key dates.
- Apply the Urgent vs. Important Matrix to prioritize tasks.
- Review and process leases, obtain approvals, and close deals.
- Work collaboratively across teams and departments.
- Develop a full understanding of the Portfolio Management role and Atlas best practices.
- Uphold ethical standards including truthfulness, compliance with laws and policies, and treating everyone with dignity and respect.
- Seek guidance and raise concerns proactively.
What We're Looking For
- Active Real Estate license in Wyoming.
- Ability and willingness for frequent travel between Cheyenne, Wyoming, Fort Collins, Greeley, and surrounding areas.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in customer management and relationship development.
- Commitment to continual learning and growth.
- High-functioning multi-tasking and strong organizational skills.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Systems-oriented mindset with the ability to follow procedures.
- Must pass a background check.
- Weekend availability and flexibility during the week.
- Ability to drive throughout the Northern Colorado Metro, Cheyenne Metro, and surrounding areas.
Nice to Have
- Multi-family or leasing experience.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and basic office technology.
- Customer service experience.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English.
- Single-family residence (SFR) exposure.
- Strong property management or leasing experience in the Colorado & Wyoming market.
