Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) is seeking an Assistant HSSE Lead to join our project team in Bengaluru. In this critical onsite role, you will provide essential information, technical advice, and support on Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) matters. You will be responsible for sustaining high HSSE standards through regular reviews, inspections, and audits.
What You'll Do
- Be an active member of the site team, providing support and advice on HSE matters.
- Actively participate in and involve other team members in site-related HSE activities.
- Undertake duties as directed by the Operations Manager and City Senior Safety Lead.
- Ensure the Project Safety Plan is maintained and implemented on site.
- Conduct regular reviews of HSE performance and work with the site team to communicate and uphold standards.
- Perform regular HSE inspections, circulate reports, recommend improvements, and follow up on corrective actions.
- Compile and submit monthly HSE reports to the Project Lead and track all HSE statistical data.
- Establish, communicate, and regularly update the site emergency plan and procedures.
- Maintain and assist the site team in developing project HSE risk assessments and establishing control levels before work begins.
- Monitor visitor sign-in and escort procedures.
- Ensure hazards or HSE-related complaints are properly investigated, rectified, and recorded.
- Maintain and monitor the inspection and test plan for all plant and equipment on site.
- Provide information, technical advice, and support to construction teams on HSE issues.
- Maintain and disseminate statistical information on incidents, near misses, and injuries.
- Ensure all site incidents are reported promptly and support the site team in incident management.
- Participate in incident investigations, recommending action plans for timely closure to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain all necessary HSE documents as per process and standards.
- Provide timely, constructive feedback to the project lead on contractor and vendor HSE performance.
- Conduct and monitor required HSE training for all site members.
- Ensure all latest legislation, codes of practice, standards, and procedures are communicated.
- Assist the site team in reviewing HSE considerations for selecting contractors, sub-contractors, vendors, and suppliers.
- Facilitate HSE escalations to Operations Managers and the City Senior Safety Lead and maintain client relationships.
- Ensure team discipline is maintained at site.
Team & Environment
You will report directly to the Operations Manager & City Senior Safety Lead.

This is an onsite position based in Bengaluru, KA.
