The Assistant Director of Sales plays a central role in advancing the resort’s commercial performance by developing data-driven pricing models and contributing to annual budget planning. Working hand-in-hand with the revenue management team, this position ensures pricing decisions are grounded in statistical analysis and market dynamics.
What You'll Do
Lead the development and maintenance of pricing frameworks while providing clear justifications based on performance metrics. Proactively identify emerging market trends and untapped opportunities to strengthen the resort’s competitive edge. Execute targeted outreach to grow the client portfolio, with a strategic emphasis on MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions) segments.
Plan and conduct sales missions to priority markets, following approved strategies, and coordinate familiarization visits for current and prospective clients. Serve as the main liaison with Phu Quoc Tourism and relevant government bodies, fostering relationships that enhance visibility and business prospects. Support the Director of Sales in industry forums and regional tourism initiatives to elevate the resort’s profile.
Collaborate with sales teams across Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to align efforts, share market intelligence, and jointly engage high-value clients. Monitor online distribution channels and manage relationships with online travel agencies to optimize reach and revenue. Regularly report on sales pipelines, market developments, and performance metrics during team meetings.
Requirements
- Analyze budget proposals, event timelines, space needs, and competitive landscape to qualify sales opportunities effectively
- Support recruitment efforts by participating in candidate evaluations when needed
- Attend trade events, travel expos, and business gatherings as directed
- Ensure all sales inquiries are reviewed and managed efficiently across the team
