Goldman Sachs Asset & Wealth Management seeks a professional to join the Client Operations team as Asset Management Operations. In this role, you will serve as the single point of contact for all operations-related inquiries for Multi-Asset Solutions clients, focusing on portfolio accounting, cash management, client reporting, and risk management.
What You'll Do
- Take holistic ownership and understanding of client accounts from an operations perspective by coordinating events and issues across all operations teams and business partners.
- Coordinate and manage tasks across a multi-disciplined team to ensure all operational information and system setups are complete prior to account trading activity.
- Liaise with client counterparties like custodians and prime brokers to enable connectivity, establish operational flows, and respond to service requests.
- Interpret operational client requirements and service standards from legal documentation and business needs for all account events.
- Coordinate controls and sign-offs both internally and externally.
- Ensure accounting data accuracy and provide accounting policy oversight to create a controlled environment for the investment management process.
- Proactively review indicators of operational issues with the goal of resolving them before client impact.
- Review account-level metrics as defined by operating standards and research, escalate, and remediate exceptions as appropriate.
- Provide effective thought leadership on the evolving financial regulatory landscape and help develop technological solutions.
- Apply process reengineering methodologies in executing strategies and tactical solutions.
What We're Looking For
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A Bachelor’s degree.
- A highly collaborative, team-oriented approach and strong consensus-building skills.
- Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience in Operations and/or the Financial Services industry.
- Relevant work experience of 3-4 years.
- Demonstrated ability to partner across product groups, regions, and functional responsibilities.
- Attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure while providing practical solutions.
- A focus on risk management.
