nVent was looking for an Assembly Operator Lead

nVent is seeking an Assembly Operator Lead to play a critical role in our production operations. You will be responsible for ensuring our manufacturing processes run smoothly and efficiently while leading improvement initiatives.

What You'll Do

  • Operate machinery, hand tools, and pneumatic tools for repetitive functions like riveting, drilling, gluing, and assembling.
  • Use forklift equipment to pull materials and move items within the production area.
  • Install hardware, perform quality inspections, and package finished goods for shipping.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and participate in teams to improve processes.
  • Observe all safety rules and regulations, maintaining a neat and orderly work area.
  • Support the production process by filling in positions on the line as needed to maintain workflow.
  • Act as a change agent, driving out waste through the deployment of Lean methodology.
  • Complete and coordinate employee cross-training to achieve efficient team functionality.
  • Recognize and involve employees in problem-solving and decision-making.

  • Excellent communication skills with proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Forklift experience.
