nVent is seeking an Assembly Operator Lead to play a critical role in our production operations. You will be responsible for ensuring our manufacturing processes run smoothly and efficiently while leading improvement initiatives.
What You'll Do
- Operate machinery, hand tools, and pneumatic tools for repetitive functions like riveting, drilling, gluing, and assembling.
- Use forklift equipment to pull materials and move items within the production area.
- Install hardware, perform quality inspections, and package finished goods for shipping.
- Work in a fast-paced environment and participate in teams to improve processes.
- Observe all safety rules and regulations, maintaining a neat and orderly work area.
- Support the production process by filling in positions on the line as needed to maintain workflow.
- Act as a change agent, driving out waste through the deployment of Lean methodology.
- Complete and coordinate employee cross-training to achieve efficient team functionality.
- Recognize and involve employees in problem-solving and decision-making.

Nice to Have
- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing setting.
