Spindrift is looking for an Area Sales Representative to build our brand and drive sales growth in the Washington, DC/Northern Virginia territory. You will be responsible for securing incremental display space, optimizing shelf presence, and building deep relationships with retailers.
What You'll Do
- Embrace an 'own the number' mentality to deliver on regional KPIs
- Sell and execute incremental display space throughout your assigned territory
- Optimize shelf space and merchandise product and displays to drive sales growth
- Drive consumer awareness through point-of-sale material and in-store execution of promotions
- Educate consumers in stores about what makes Spindrift the best in the category
- Ensure product quality, rotate stock, and remove damaged packages
- Maintain organization and proper rotation of back stock
- Accurately and expertly utilize CRM applications to chronicle daily activities and display execution
- Build positive rapport with key store contacts to secure incremental display space
- Service an assigned account base of approximately 8-12 stops per day with consistent follow-up
- Develop and schedule weekly account visits based on specific business needs
- Understand customer needs and enact plans to drive sales growth for both the store and Spindrift
- Achieve mutually beneficial agreements through skilled negotiation
- Build trust and credibility with accounts
- Support a culture consistent with the overall organization and its values
- Partner with teammates on various strategic initiatives
- Demonstrate a 'carry the bag' mentality, including willingness to perform demos, build displays, and participate in market blitzes outside your home territory
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in a CPG or beverage environment
- A track record of achieving sales targets and KPIs
- Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Highly organized and self-motivated with the ability to manage a daily schedule
- Willingness to do whatever it takes to grow the brand
- Experience with CRM applications
