As the Area Sales Manager for the Midwest, you will drive sales performance and market development across Indiana, Ohio, West Virginia, Kentucky, and Tennessee. Operating remotely, you'll take ownership of a defined territory, focusing on strengthening distributor partnerships, expanding market reach, and delivering consistent revenue growth aligned with strategic objectives.
What You'll Do
Lead all aspects of the sales cycle, from pipeline development to agreement negotiation, ensuring profitability and alignment with organizational goals. Build trusted advisor relationships with distributors and channel partners, providing expert product guidance and sales support. Develop and execute territory-specific business plans to exceed revenue targets and increase market share.
Collaborate with internal leadership to align sales strategies with product marketing initiatives and communicate competitive insights and market trends. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards, addressing any issues proactively. Maintain accurate records using CRM tools and deliver regular performance updates to management.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree or equivalent professional experience
- 5–7 years of B2B sales leadership experience, with demonstrated success in managing and motivating distributor networks
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets in a channel-driven environment
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities
- Experience managing distributor relationships with a revenue-focused approach
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems such as MS Dynamics
- Willingness to travel frequently (approximately 60%) with overnight stays
- Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in oil-free or oil-flooded air compression technologies
