Huzzle is hiring an Architectural Kitchen Designer

Huzzle is looking for an Architectural Kitchen Designer to create the scalable, compliant infrastructure for a multi-brand delivery kitchen operator. Operating at the intersection of architecture, technology, and culinary innovation, you will be instrumental in supporting rapid expansion through data-driven, operationally excellent designs.

What You'll Do

• Develop and deliver accurate, scalable, and compliant kitchen design packages for multiple locations.
• Create standardized yet adaptable design templates to support rapid multi-site expansion.
• Ensure all designs comply with local building codes, health department, and safety regulations.
• Select and specify equipment layouts that optimize workflow, cost, and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and operations teams to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation through AutoCAD, Revit, and PlanGrid/Autodesk Build.
• Integrate HVAC, plumbing, and MEP systems into cohesive, functional kitchen layouts.
• Participate in design reviews, identify improvement opportunities, and support continuous optimization of kitchen standards.

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years of experience in commercial kitchen, food production, or hospitality facility design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Strong understanding of building codes, health regulations, and MEP coordination.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
• Ability to own end-to-end design projects and deliver under tight deadlines.
• Process-driven mindset with a systematic and proactive approach to problem-solving.

Nice to Have

• Proficiency in AutoQuotes (AQ), KCL, SketchUp.
• Familiarity with NYC DOB and Health Department standards.
• Experience in startups or fast-scaling environments.
