Aprio was looking for an Aprio Canada - National Tax Office Leader, Senior Tax Director

Aprio is hiring a National Tax Office Leader, Senior Tax Director to establish and lead the strategic direction of our Canadian tax practice. This senior role combines deep technical expertise with leadership to drive growth and excellence across the national tax function.

What You'll Do

  • Provide national strategic leadership and vision for Aprio's Canadian tax practice
  • Deliver high-level technical tax advisory and review for complex client engagements
  • Lead, mentor, and develop tax professionals across the country
  • Drive business development and foster key client relationships to expand the tax practice
  • Ensure tax compliance and quality control standards are maintained nationally
  • Monitor and interpret changes in tax legislation, advising the firm and clients accordingly

What We're Looking For

  • A recognized Canadian tax expert with extensive experience in a senior leadership capacity
  • Professional accounting designation (CPA, CA) and deep expertise in Canadian corporate and personal tax
  • Proven track record of building, growing, and leading a high-performing tax team or practice
  • Strong business acumen with experience in practice development and client relationship management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing at all levels

Work Mode

This is a fully remote position within Canada, offering flexibility while requiring the ability to collaborate effectively with a distributed national team.
