About the Role

Qorvo is looking for an Applications Engineering Intern to join our team, working on projects within our High Performance Analog, Advanced Cellular, and Connectivity and Sensors business groups. You'll contribute to specific projects based on current business needs, helping advance our mission to connect, protect and power our planet.

What You'll Do

  • Automate testing with RF instruments
  • Automate data extraction from test instruments
  • Conduct manual testing using RF instruments like spectrum analyzers or network analyzers
  • Analyze and summarize data sets
  • Develop presentations based on your findings
  • Compare performance characteristics of our parts against competitor parts
  • Simulate and design RF networks
  • Create marketing collateral including datasheets and application notes
  • Automate the creation of design review documents from simulation tools and databases

What We're Looking For

  • Currently pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
  • Minimum GPA of 3.3
  • Analog/RF circuit design coursework and/or practical experience
  • Ability to solder 0402 SMD components
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Self-starter with strong communication skills
  • Ability to summarize and present technical information effectively
  • Desire for a career in RF Engineering

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Python scripting
  • Coursework in transmission line theory
  • Coursework in RF amplifier theory
  • Experience with RF simulation tools like Keysight Advanced Design System (ADS) or AWR Microwave Office
