Inspire Medical Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior Application Security Engineer to ensure the security and integrity of our life-changing medical device software and cloud platforms. In this role, you will be a critical part of safeguarding patient safety and data privacy.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement security controls for medical device software and cloud-based applications
- Conduct threat modeling, security reviews, and risk assessments throughout the development lifecycle
- Develop and automate security testing processes, including SAST, DAST, and SCA
- Collaborate with engineering teams to remediate vulnerabilities and champion secure coding practices
- Ensure security compliance with healthcare industry regulations
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of direct experience in application security or secure software development
- Proven experience securing cloud-native applications (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Deep knowledge of OWASP Top 10, common vulnerability classes, and secure SDLC frameworks
- Hands-on experience with security tooling for static and dynamic analysis
- Strong ability to communicate technical risks clearly to engineering and business stakeholders
