Tektronix - Level 3 is seeking an Application Engineering Intern for Summer 2026 to join our Mainstream Portfolio team. This role offers hands-on experience in product line application engineering, immersing you in the design and development of advanced test and measurement solutions. You will build a foundation in engineering principles while playing a key role connecting our technical teams with customers.
What You'll Do
- Participate in the design and development of test and measurement solutions, applying electrical, hardware, and software engineering principles.
- Work on resolving complex technical issues and projects using your engineering knowledge and analytical skills.
- Assist in developing and testing new products, including prototyping, validation, and performance analysis.
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and user manuals.
- Design demo boards and replicate customer end-use setups to showcase solution capabilities.
- Participate in customer visits and collaborate with customers to resolve technical issues.
- Write test scripts to automate test routines for improved accuracy and measurement throughput.
What We're Looking For
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong foundation in electrical engineering principles and practices.
- Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work well in a team to tackle sophisticated challenges.
- Ability to coordinate, prioritize, and complete sophisticated tasks in a timely manner.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with C++, Python, C#, Networking, or Software Security.
- A strong curiosity about Signal Processing and Embedded Systems.
- Experience with oscilloscopes, crafting training materials, and creating and delivering technical presentations.
