Anthology is looking for a Staff Technical Project Manager to join our Engineering Operations (EngOps) team. In this role, you will lead critical strategic and operational initiatives designed to have broad, systemic impact across the Technology Organization and the company. You will be empowered to identify areas of opportunity and propose solutions to enhance the effectiveness of our technical teams.
What You'll Do
- Understand complex problems, propose solutions, and distill them into actionable projects, programs, and initiatives
- Independently manage large, cross-functional projects, programs, and initiatives with large and diverse sets of stakeholders
- Communicate effectively with team members and leadership within and outside of the Tech Org
- Prioritize and drive projects from inception to conclusion based on business priorities
- Provide insights into business and project processes through data analysis and visualization
- Identify process improvement and workflow optimization opportunities and create repeatable, scalable frameworks
- Contribute to the management and evolution of our technical information request process and supporting knowledge management system
- Manage and suggest ways to improve our Tech Org information architecture
- Help EngOps leadership prioritize work and manage capacity to set expectations and achieve outcomes
- Identify and mitigate issues and risks, escalating concerns to leadership as appropriate
- Advance outcomes through leadership, collaboration, and a willingness to listen and learn
What We're Looking For
- At least 8 years working in a project management-oriented role
- Familiarity with software development, information technology, and information security, and enthusiasm for Agile practices
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills
- Experience managing projects, programs, and initiatives from inception to closure through the entire life cycle
- Experience working with content management or knowledge management systems
- Experience using data to measure processes, provide insights, and develop visualizations
- Ability to identify and solve problems and manage workload with minimal guidance
- Capable of collaborating with cross-functional, globally distributed teams and stakeholders to establish reliable working relationships
- Comfortable working with stakeholders at all levels, including technical experts, business owners, and executive staff
- Adaptable to an evolving environment and comfortable managing through change and ambiguity
- Desire to build relationships and influence others through integrity and trust
- Fluency in written and spoken English at CEF B2 level or above
Nice to Have
- Creating and managing SharePoint instances, sites, pages, lists, and workflows
- Leveraging PowerApps to create and automate workflows
- Creating visualizations and dashboards in PowerBI
- Creating work items, configuring templates, querying and creating reports in Azure DevOps
