Responsibilities

- Improve system observability through logging, metrics, and alerting frameworks
- Optimize data storage and retrieval mechanisms for efficiency
- Contribute to disaster recovery and high availability strategies
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies to enhance infrastructure capabilities
- Maintain security standards across backend services and data pipelines
- Write clean, maintainable code with comprehensive testing coverage
- Participate in code reviews to ensure technical quality and consistency
- Troubleshoot complex production issues across distributed systems
- Support capacity planning and performance benchmarking initiatives
- Document architecture decisions and system configurations
- Drive automation of operational tasks to reduce manual intervention
- Work closely with product teams to understand requirements and constraints
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and regulatory standards
- Contribute to on-call rotations for critical system support
- Mentor junior engineers in backend development best practices
- Promote reusable infrastructure patterns across teams
