Join Protex AI as a Lead Internal Tooling Engineer and lead the development and evolution of internal tools critical to teams across Engineering, Support, Implementation, and Customer Success. You will own these internal applications by treating them as products and collaborating across teams to streamline processes and accelerate growth.
What You'll Do
- Lead the design, build, and operation of internal tools used daily across the company, including Camera Calibration App, QA tools, and Site/user management systems.
- Build robust SSO workflows and user provisioning systems that streamline customer onboarding and reduce time-to-install.
- Partner with Support to identify bottlenecks and build solutions that enable self-service and reduce ticket volume.
- Collaborate with Platform team on deployment tools and Computer Vision team to integrate CV features into operational workflows.
- Design and implement APIs that connect various systems, creating a seamless experience for internal users.
- Gather feedback from users across teams, prioritize features, and ship iterative improvements weekly.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python, JavaScript, and SQL.
- Familiarity with cloud services and serverless architecture (e.g., AWS Lambda).
- Product mindset: enjoy talking to users, understanding their workflows, and shipping pragmatic solutions.
- Self-direction: ability to identify problems, propose solutions, and execute independently.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.

- Frontend experience with React or Vue.js.
