Thomson Reuters is seeking an Analyst - Global Trade Content to be responsible for the research, verification, and quality assurance of critical global trade data. You will join a team dedicated to providing accurate and timely information on tariffs, regulations, and Harmonized System codes that our customers rely on.
What You'll Do
- Conduct comprehensive research and analysis to interpret and update global trade regulations from official government sources.
- Monitor official sources for changes in assigned tariffs and deliver accurate updates into the system promptly.
- Convert regulatory updates into a standardized or software-compatible format for system loading.
- Analyze customer inquiries related to assigned tariffs and provide well-researched, accurate responses.
- Identify reliable contacts and data sources using official government channels and establish productive working relationships.
- Document processes, procedures, and work instructions according to established guidelines.
- Identify and report bugs in standard files and systems, assisting in testing new features as part of the ADO process.
- Support project management tasks under supervision, assisting with data collection, analysis, and report preparation.
- Seek opportunities to grow the regulatory data coverage for assigned tariffs.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Business, or a related field.
- Knowledge of the Harmonized System (HS) and Customs regulations.
- Knowledge in import and export operations.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent command of English.
- Strong analytical and interpretation skills.
- Strong MS Excel skills.
- Strong focus on delivery, including attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while fully participating in a team environment.
Nice to Have
- Proficiency in other language(s) will be an added advantage.
