Thomson Reuters Foundation was looking for an Analyst - Global Trade Content

Thomson Reuters is seeking an Analyst - Global Trade Content to be responsible for the research, verification, and quality assurance of critical global trade data. You will join a team dedicated to providing accurate and timely information on tariffs, regulations, and Harmonized System codes that our customers rely on.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct comprehensive research and analysis to interpret and update global trade regulations from official government sources.
  • Monitor official sources for changes in assigned tariffs and deliver accurate updates into the system promptly.
  • Convert regulatory updates into a standardized or software-compatible format for system loading.
  • Analyze customer inquiries related to assigned tariffs and provide well-researched, accurate responses.
  • Identify reliable contacts and data sources using official government channels and establish productive working relationships.
  • Document processes, procedures, and work instructions according to established guidelines.
  • Identify and report bugs in standard files and systems, assisting in testing new features as part of the ADO process.
  • Support project management tasks under supervision, assisting with data collection, analysis, and report preparation.
  • Seek opportunities to grow the regulatory data coverage for assigned tariffs.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Business, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of the Harmonized System (HS) and Customs regulations.
  • Knowledge in import and export operations.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent command of English.
  • Strong analytical and interpretation skills.
  • Strong MS Excel skills.
  • Strong focus on delivery, including attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while fully participating in a team environment.

Nice to Have

  • Proficiency in other language(s) will be an added advantage.
