Bank of America is hiring an Analyst/Associate for its Airlines and Leisure equity research team in New York. You will cover a dynamic cross-section of the travel and leisure industries, gaining exposure to all aspects of equity research while working directly with a Senior Analyst.
What You'll Do
- Perform complex financial modeling and valuation work
- Maintain detailed industry databases, including airline schedules, fare pricing, Department of Transportation data, global cruise ship operations, and retail sales for key leisure sub-sectors
- Closely follow market, industry, and company activity, relaying key news and findings to the Senior Analyst
- Write regular industry and company reports
- Develop strong industry knowledge and business judgment
- Work with the Senior Analyst to develop key industry and company themes
- Build relationships and facilitate information flow with contacts at covered companies
- Participate in and contribute to client meetings and events
- Seek out new and different sources of information
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of experience
- 1-3 years of work experience in equity research, investment banking, accounting, or a buy-side role
- A strong interest in public markets and regular following of the stock market
- Excellent writing and financial modeling skills
- Expert-level proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced and intense environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
- A collaborative approach and ability to work well in a team environment
Nice to Have
- An understanding of finance and accounting
- A basic understanding of economics, macroeconomic factors, and policy/politics
