ALTEN is looking for a Data Scientist / AI Engineer to focus on Life Science projects. In this role, you will develop and implement machine learning and artificial intelligence models to analyze biological, clinical, and technical data. You will join a team operating within a regulated GxP environment.
What You'll Do
- Develop and implement Machine-Learning and AI models for analyzing biological, clinical, or technical data.
- Build and maintain Data Pipelines (ETL, Integration, Transformation) to ensure consistent data structures.
- Use modern Big-Data technologies to automate processes.
- Work closely with interdisciplinary teams from R&D, IT, Regulatory, and Quality Assurance.
- Support validation, documentation, and compliance in a GxP environment.
- Conduct exploratory data analyses to identify patterns, trends, and optimization potential.
- Present results and derive data-driven recommendations for action.
What We're Looking For
- Completed degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or Engineering.
- Experience in developing ML models, Data Pipelines, and analytical applications.
- Knowledge of Python, R, SQL, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, or comparable tools.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data engineering tools (e.g., Spark, Airflow, Docker).
- At least three years of professional experience in a regulated environment (Pharma, Biotech, or MedTech).
- Fluent in German and English, both spoken and written.
