CrackenAGI is seeking an AI Research Lead to define the vision and roadmap for our cybersecurity AI agents. This role balances foundational research with delivering near-term product impact, requiring you to grow from an individual contributor into leading a small team while staying deeply technical.
What You'll Do
- Set the research vision and roadmap for cybersecurity AI agents, balancing foundational work with near-term product impact.
- Design and implement large-scale distributed systems that turn complex tasks into practical capabilities.
- Prototype, benchmark, and productionize agentic workflows.
- Stay updated with the latest in AI and AI agents, providing insights and integrating innovations.
- Perform hands-on engineering and testing of product features and the internal agent framework.
- Lead a team of AI engineers, growing from an IC to a small-team lead.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years leading applied-AI projects with evidence of scaling LLM or multi-agent systems to production.
- Deep experience in Python.
- Experience with AI agent frameworks: implementation using LangChain or Haystack; implementation of RAG using LlamaIndex and other frameworks; evaluation of AI Agent performance; integration into existing systems.
- Cybersecurity product background, having worked on security-focused software or platforms.
Nice to Have
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related fields.
- Interest or active participation in cybersecurity-related activities.
- Interest in Offensive Security and pentesting.
- Contributions to AI, Computer Science, or Cybersecurity research, blogs, or whitepapers showcasing expertise.
- Experience in developing or contributing to open-source developer tools or frameworks.
