INTERPOL is looking for an AI Platform Lead to be responsible for the design, implementation, and operational management of our central AI infrastructure. You will act as the Technical Lead of the AI Cluster, managing backend services and providing technical direction to empower digital products across the organization.

What You'll Do

Own the architecture and lifecycle of the AI Cluster, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security of AI services.
Manage the deployment and serving of LLMs, Diffusion Models, and Embedding Models (Open Source and Proprietary).
Build and maintain RAG pipelines and Vector Databases to ground AI responses in INTERPOL’s proprietary data.
Develop the 'AI Backend' as a Service, exposing standard APIs for Product Squads to consume.
Act as the senior technical reference for the team of MLOps Engineers, providing expert guidance on code quality, architectural patterns, and data engineering best practices.
Define and enforce LLMOps/MLOps standards for model development, testing, versioning, and deployment.
Conduct code reviews and technical workshops to upskill the team.
Design and implement complex Workflow Managers using frameworks like LangChain, AutoGen, N8N to orchestrate multi-step AI tasks and agentic behaviors.

What We're Looking For

Demonstrated experience owning the architecture and operational management of a large-scale AI or machine learning platform.
Deep hands-on expertise with deploying and serving Large Language Models, Retrieval-Augmented Generation engines, and Vector Databases.
Proven ability to design and build robust data pipelines and backend-as-a-service architectures.
Strong background in establishing and enforcing MLOps/LLMOps standards and best practices.
Experience leading technical teams, providing mentorship, and conducting code reviews.
Proficiency with workflow orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, AutoGen, or N8N.

This role is within the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Executive Directorate/Technology and Engineering, specifically part of the Artificial Intelligence and Data Platform Competency Centre. You will report to the Head of Department, Artificial Intelligence and Data Platform Competency Centre.

Work Mode

This position is onsite in Lyon, France.
