At TELUS Digital, we are looking for an AI Manager to lead one or more cross-functional teams building data and AI-powered products for our clients. You will provide technical guidance, mentor team members, and drive the use of cutting-edge techniques to deliver high-quality AI solutions.

What You'll Do

Provide technical guidance to teams and projects for international clients.
Work alongside GenAI Engineers, Data Scientists, and Data Engineers in data and AI projects.
Lead and mentor cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality AI-powered solutions while fostering collaboration and growth.
Support strategy teams in identifying and implementing robust AI and data strategies to solve business challenges.
Stay up-to-date with GenAI trends, tools and frameworks, introducing innovations and process improvements to teams when appropriate.
Maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams, advocating for the best use of AI and Data practices.
Help develop the GenAI Engineering practice in the company and support the growth of the team.

What We're Looking For

5+ years of professional experience in Data Science or Software Engineering.
Minimum of one year of experience in GenAI engineering, developing AI solutions.
Strong technical expertise in Software Engineering and coding best practices.
Deep understanding of Data Science, especially in the field of Generative AI, including concepts such as LLMs, RAGs, and Agentic AI.
Experience in data strategy and governance techniques, driving clients to the successful implementation of data and AI solutions.
Experience managing a team of engineers building solutions and being responsible for growing the people on the team through goal-setting, coaching, and feedback.
Familiarity with Agile techniques for managing work, quality assurance, testing, and LLM evaluation.

Nice to Have

Proficiency in Python is preferable.
Comfortable having difficult conversations and always having clients' and teammates' best interests in mind.
Can simplify and communicate about complex problems around technology, business processes, user experience, and development tasks.
Keeps themselves up-to-date with the latest technology trends in the market, leveraging that to drive innovation for teams and clients.
Driven by curiosity and enthusiasm about learning new technologies.
Foster team autonomy and proactive engagement.
