GDIT is looking for a Senior AI Engineer to support national security activities by developing innovative AI-driven solutions to solve complex problems and enhance business processes. What You'll Do
- Develop innovative AI-driven solutions to solve complex problems and enhance business processes.
- Collect, clean, and preprocess large volumes of structured and unstructured data from various sources, ensuring data quality, integrity, and relevance for model training and evaluation.
- Train, validate, and optimize large language models using state-of-the-art techniques and frameworks.
- Extract, select, and engineer relevant features from raw data to improve model performance and generalization capabilities.
- Monitor model performance, reliability, and scalability in production environments, implementing automated monitoring and alerting systems.
- Document technical designs, implementation details, and best practices for AI solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, software engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver impactful AI solutions.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other related analytical, scientific, or technical discipline.
- 5+ years of related experience.
- Experience designing, developing, implementing, and using machine learning algorithms and large language models for business challenges.
- Understanding of Agentic AI frameworks (e.g., Pydantics, CrewAI, Langchain).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and Java.
- TS/SCI w/ CI Poly security clearance.
- Ability to work independently under general supervision.
- Strong documentation, communication, user interaction, and business analysis skills.
- US Citizenship required.
Nice to Have
- Understanding of machine learning algorithms, including supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, reinforcement learning, Large Language Models, generative AI, and ensemble methods.
- Familiarity with machine learning libraries and frameworks.
- Knowledge of software development best practices, version control systems, and agile methodologies.
