About the Role

Atomic is looking for an AI Engineer (AI Hacker) to join our engineering team. You'll focus on advancing capabilities in physics computing, computational geometry, and hyperparameter tuning to develop AI models that revolutionize tool and die making.

What You'll Do

  • Research, evaluate, and implement state-of-the-art AI models and techniques in physics computing for manufacturing simulations.
  • Develop and optimize AI-driven solutions for complex computational geometry problems.
  • Design and implement efficient hyperparameter tuning strategies to maximize model performance and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to integrate AI solutions that enhance tool and die making capabilities.
  • Create proof-of-concept demonstrations and prototypes to showcase new AI technologies.
  • Stay current with the latest AI developments, including physics-informed neural networks and geometric deep learning.
  • Provide regular updates and presentations on AI advancements and their applications.
  • Contribute to proprietary AI systems for tool and die making, focusing on physics-based simulations and geometric optimization.

What We're Looking For

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
  • Strong background in physics computing and computational geometry.
  • Proven experience developing and optimizing AI models for physics simulations and geometric problems.
  • Expertise in hyperparameter tuning techniques and automated machine learning.
  • Proficiency in programming languages for scientific computing and AI/ML, such as Python, C++, and CUDA.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and creative thinking about AI applications in manufacturing.
  • Strong communication skills to explain complex AI and physics concepts.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with physics engines and CAD software.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, particularly in tool and die making.
