General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is hiring an AI Engineer to support national security activities by developing AI-driven solutions for complex problems. You will join a team in Chantilly, VA, building systems that enhance critical business processes.
What You'll Do
- Develop innovative AI-driven solutions to solve complex problems and enhance business processes.
- Collect, clean, and preprocess large volumes of structured and unstructured data, ensuring quality and relevance for model training.
- Train, validate, and optimize large language models using state-of-the-art techniques and frameworks.
- Extract and engineer features from raw data to improve model performance.
- Monitor model performance, reliability, and scalability in production environments.
- Document technical designs, implementation details, and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to deliver impactful AI solutions.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
- 5+ years of related professional experience.
- Experience designing, developing, and implementing machine learning algorithms and large language models.
- Understanding of Agentic AI frameworks like Pydantics, CrewAI, or Langchain.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and Java.
- Current TS/SCI w/ CI Poly security clearance.
- Ability to work independently under general supervision.
- Strong documentation, communication, user interaction, and business analysis skills.
- US Citizenship is required.
Nice to Have
- Understanding of machine learning algorithms, including supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, reinforcement learning, Large Language Models, and generative AI.
- Familiarity with machine learning libraries and frameworks.
- Knowledge of software development best practices, version control systems, and agile methodologies.
