Maneva is hiring an AI Data Operations Specialist to maintain the data quality and operational performance of our production AI systems. You’ll be on the front lines, coordinating between engineering, external annotation teams, and customer-facing operations. This hands-on, entry-level role is ideal for someone curious about AI, highly detail-oriented, and looking to start a career in data, machine learning operations, or AI product support.
What You'll Do
- Review and validate annotated datasets daily, identifying edge cases and inconsistencies.
- Interface with external annotation contractors, providing feedback on data quality and updating instructions.
- Conduct systematic reviews of existing datasets to identify missed or inconsistent annotations.
- Monitor production applications for performance anomalies, downtime, and output quality issues.
- Collaborate with customer success teams to obtain production schedules and manage SKU training for new products.
- Respond to customer support requests via phone calls and online ticketing systems.
- Maintain operational awareness of deployed applications, alerting for unusual prediction patterns.
- Support alert management and follow-up on Grafana notifications.
- Document data quality issues, system performance observations, and process improvements.
- Assist with data curation workflows and maintain organized datasets for model training.
What We're Looking For
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify patterns and anomalies in large datasets.
- Excellent communication skills for interfacing with external contractors and internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency with computer usage and general technical troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple concurrent data review tasks.
- Customer service orientation with experience handling support requests.
Nice to Have
- Experience with SQL and basic programming skills (Python preferred).
- Experience in computer vision or machine learning data annotation.
- Familiarity with data annotation tools and processes.
- Experience with monitoring and alerting systems (Grafana, JIRA, or similar).
- Experience working with external vendors or contractors.
- Background in technical support or customer success roles.
- Understanding of AI/ML model training and validation processes.
