Pavago is looking for an AI Automation Engineer to build sophisticated, AI-powered workflows within our marketing technology environment. This is a hands-on builder role focused on designing automations using n8n to connect marketing tools, AI services, and data sources, scaling our capabilities without increasing headcount.
What You'll Do
- Champion the use of n8n to build complex, scalable workflows that connect marketing platforms, AI services, and internal tools.
- Connect disparate systems using REST APIs, webhooks, and data transformations to ensure seamless cross-platform functionality.
- Implement advanced AI integrations such as OpenAI (GPT-4, DALL·E), Anthropic Claude, ElevenLabs (audio), and video generation tools (e.g., Runway, Synthesia, D-ID).
- Continuously monitor automation dashboards, troubleshoot failed workflows, and optimize existing solutions for reliability and speed.
- Work closely with the tech lead and team via Slack and video calls, gather requirements, share progress, and maintain clear documentation of workflows.
- Explore new AI capabilities, test models, and identify opportunities to enhance marketing operations with cutting-edge tools.
What We're Looking For
- Proven expertise in n8n (non-negotiable) with experience designing and maintaining advanced automation workflows.
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs, webhooks, API authentication methods (OAuth, API keys), and JSON data transformation.
- Hands-on experience with AI platforms including OpenAI (GPT-4, DALL·E), Anthropic Claude, ElevenLabs, and at least one video AI tool such as Runway, Synthesia, or D-ID.
- Familiarity with marketing technology environments and the ability to build automations that support KPIs, content generation, and campaign performance analysis.
- Practical experience with SQL for data queries, Git for version control, API testing tools such as Postman, and cloud storage platforms like AWS S3 or Google Cloud Storage.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and integrate new platforms, troubleshoot workflow issues, and optimize automations in fast-paced technical environments.
- A builder mentality excited about experimenting, solving complex problems, and connecting multiple tools into cohesive workflows.
- Understanding of marketing processes and KPIs to design automations that directly support campaign goals.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to quickly learn and integrate new platforms as needed.
- Effective communication skills, comfortable working remotely with async updates and occasional video collaboration.
- A self-starter who thrives in deep work but knows when to loop in the team for problem-solving.

- Experience with Ruby on Rails, particularly for integrating or modifying existing applications.
