Sylvan Learning Centers is looking for an After School and/or Weekend Tutor to join our team. As a Sylvan Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a positive personal learning experience for students. You will teach using Sylvan program materials, evaluate student progress, and work closely with Center staff to ensure lessons are tailored to each student's needs.
What You'll Do
- Greet students and initiate instruction to personally engage each learner.
- Instruct students according to the design and curriculum of Sylvan programs.
- Manage students, tasks, and time to create balanced and robust instructional sessions.
- Use praise and encouragement to ensure students are engaged and inspired.
- Motivate students by awarding Sylvan tokens for specific achievements.
- Manage the conclusion of each session, including the completion of learning logs and transition activities.
- Support procedures to ensure student safety and well-being.
- Communicate specific student needs and progress to Center staff.
